The 11^th edition of the international conference of the characterization of porous solids will be organized by Philip LLEWELLYN and the S²G group.

Porous materials have developed enormous impact in catalysis, separation, and life science applications. Characterization of such solids is a key element when designing porous materials for specific uses.

Established in 1987 and held every three years, the COPS conference series aims to bring together experts from academia and industry in order to share the latest developments in the characterization of porous solids by either experimental, theoretical or simulation methods, together with the understanding of the relationships between the measured material properties and the final performance for a given application.

 Conference Topics:
All aspects of characterisation of porous solids.

• Porous materials: carbons, zeolites, catalysts, MOFs, porous polymers, ceramics…
• Adsorption: gas phase, liquid phase, bioadsorption
• Experimental techniques
• Application of porous materials and processes

We aim to organize this meeting at the Conference Centre of the Popes Palace (Palais des Papes) in Avignon which is around 100 km north of Marseille.

Avignon is accessible via TGV train, which runs between Marseille and Paris Charles de Gaule.
